Nightwatchman Devendra Bishoo had a few tough moments but he survived to take Windies to 201 for 2 at Stumps. He has the company of Kraigg Brathwaite, who has remained unbeaten on 88. What a one-sided day this was. There were only two moments for Bangladesh to cherish. Not the warmest welcome by the hosts! The wicket will ease out for batting in the next couple of days but Bangladesh need something extraordinary to get back in the contest.

Kieran Powell put up a far more confident show in this innings, but fell short of a half century. Liton Das took a superb catch at slips to dismiss the southpaw. Second wicket of the day for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh have finally managed to breakthrough. Devon Smith looks to flash at short delivery outside off but only manages an edge to the 'keeper. Not the best of deliveries but Abu Jayed wouldn't mind it. He bags his maiden Test wicket!

Kraigg Brathwaite and Devon Smith have ensured that the efforts of their bowlers are well backed. They have given Bangladesh nothing to celebrate today en route their respective fifties. Windies have gone past the 100-run mark and the shoulders in the field are starting to drop. This has been a tough start to the Test series for the visitors!

Despite slow moving, Windies managed to more than double Bangladesh's first innings total, without losing any wicket. Devon Smith is unbeaten on 48 while Kraigg Brathwaite has moved on to 40 with a straight drive for boundary off the last ball before Tea. It was a harmless session for the hosts as Bangladesh failed to make good use of the conditions on offer. Windies 90 for no loss at Tea.

And with very little challenge, Windies have gone past Bangladesh's first innings total. Both the openers are still at the crease, patient as ever. Tall task at hand for Bangladesh.

There seems to be a template about Windies batting that they have developed to good effect in home conditions - a template of no risks. Devon Smith and Kraigg Brathwaite are following that to perfection. 24 for no loss.

Windies openers have survived to see the side through to Lunch at 9 for no loss. Such a terrible start to the series for Bangladesh, and Steve Rhodes times with the team.
