Andrew Flintoff, the former England all-rounder, has been appointed as the head coach of Northern Superchargers men's team in The Hundred, the franchise announced on Wednesday. He replaces James Foster in the role.

Flintoff, who played 79 Tests, 141 ODIs and 7 T20Is, had suffered facial injuries and broken ribs earlier in the year while shooting for a show and was out of action for six months. He returned to join England's coaching setup for the series
