Turning commentators or coaches are routes often taken by cricketers after they hang up their boots. Some pen down autobiographies, some turn entrepreneurs, some take up columns, some pursue hobbies, while there are some who prefer to sit back and relax after dedicating years to the game they love. And then there is Andrew Flintoff, who is in a league of his own with his various pursuits.

The Ashes hero and England's best all-rounder since Ian Botham, Flintoff's contributions to English cricket were immense, which won him a plethora of accolades, including the prestigious Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE). The all-rounder though had to call it quits after a recurring knee injury and the hectic calender was taking a toll on his body.

Flintoff, who last made his international appearance in August 2009, pulled down the curtains on his international career in September 2010. Even before announcing his retirement, the English superstar appeared on a panel show - 'A League of Their Own' - and was a Team Captain along with Jamie footballer Redknapp. The BAFTA winning show, hosted by James Corden, was a panel quiz show mostly involving questions based on sports. This was only the start of Flintoff's second innings.
